first off, thanks for contributing! 311 traditionally has been a messy taping community with poor source info being kept track of, mp3 sources, etc... glad to see someone is showing up with the good stuff!

to answer your question, if you look at the details page of any show, on the left side there is a 'report an error' link. click that and put whatever is wrong and we'll get to it.

if it is a simple text file update / fix, just copy / paste the entire new .txt into the error report box and an admin will fix up the public
copy asap.

also, particularly with 311, we have had users upload shows that were possibly mp3 sourced, and just filling out the fields with source: unknown, taped by: unknown, etc... if you find any of those and have a known shn sourced version of the same tape / show, upload it please! it appears this is the case with the show you just uploaded. In these cases, go to the 'bad' show (listed on your details page on the left under 'other copies') and fill out an error report for the bad show asking it to be removed since a superior transfer with known lineage and source has been now uploaded / made public. then the bad copy will be removed asap and the new, better lineage source will be the only one to remain.

welcome to the archive!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)

And that is awesome to hear that bad/incomplete sources of shows will be deleted if a properly sourced show comes along!

I've been trading since 1999 but have kept my files offline till now mainly because of the people who have no idea what they are doing. I hate seeing shows ripped into MP3's and didn't want that happening to the shows I recorded. My fellow 311 bootleggers didn't want that happening either.

311 just recently created a taping policy and allowed their fans to record so I and others felt that this was the time to bring the underground 311 trading community to the mainstream 311 community. Some of the shows and reviews that have been popping up are the result of eager fans who don't know what they are doing bootleg wise. They want to get shows and want to be known for distributing shows but really don't know the full culture of bootlegging.

I am happy you already noticed what I am trying to do. I really hope my efforts and the efforts of my fellow "veteran" 311 bootleggers help to shape up our trading community a bit.

Thanks again for your help! :)
